Neil Harris set to stay in charge of Millwall for FA Cup clash

Standard Sport2 January 2014

Millwall caretaker boss Neil Harris expects to be in charge for Saturday’s FA Cup tie with Southend.

Millwall, just one point above the Championship relegation zone after yesterday’s 3-1 defeat by Leicester, are stepping up their search for a new manager following the sacking of Steve Lomas.

“Myself and [academy director] Scott Fitzgerald will keep going until we are told otherwise.

“I want the players to play with a bit of freedom and show what good players they are. For the majority of the game yesterday we were the better side and our only disappointment was that the final ball was lacking a little bit.”
