Diehard Gunner Mo Farah has revealed he wanted to name his son Arsenal.

The 32-year-old has been paraded on the Emirates Stadium pitch after athletics success in the past and takes in a game whenever his hectic schedule allows it.

In 2013, Farah took to Instagram to show off his Arsenal running spikes, which had the famous cannon slapped across the front of both tongues.

He also donned a Gunners shirt for training earlier this year and after winning gold in the 10,000 metres at the world atheltics championships in Beijing recently, his mind quickly turned to Arsene Wenger's side.

Speaking to the BBC, he refused to dwell on his incredible run, instead thanking those who had supported him, before adding: "And also, you know, big game today against Liverpool".

Indeed, if the double Olympic champion slipped on the track and grazed his knee he would bleed red and white, but perhaps the biggest sign of his commitment to the Gunners came after the birth of his son, Hussein, earlier this year.

"I wanted Arsenal to be Hussein's middle name, but Tania wasn't having it," Farah told OK Magazine.
