Mexico goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa said he had produced the performance of his life after keeping host nation Brazil at bay for 90 minutes in Fortaleza.

Ochoa, who was named man-of-the-match, almost single-handedly earned his side a point with a series of fine saves, which Brazil striker Fred said included "at least four miracles."

The 28-year-old consistently frustrated the hosts and comparisons were drawn to Gordon Banks’ famous save when he leapt to his right to deny an arrowed header from Neymar in the first half.

Ochoa hurled himself across goal to deny the Barcelona man, who was stunned by the reflex stop.

The free agent, who will have done his chances of finding a new club no harm, also denied Paulinho, David Luiz and a late Thiago Silva header, before keeping Neymar out once more.

Ochoa said: "It was very difficult, and I'm delighted leave the field with the zero on the scoreboard.

"I believe this was the best match of my life because this was a World Cup game and this is very important.

"We have to move on, celebrate with my team mates and my family, but move on because the path is still long."
