Millwall will find out tomorrow night if land around The Den will be sold to property developers in a move that could threaten the club’s future.

Lewisham Council will make a final decision on the compulsory purchase of the land, which is leased to the League One club.

Millwall chairman John Berylson has warned the club’s future is at risk if the land becomes privately owned by property development company Renewal.

Berylson said: “I am sure people will appreciate just how serious this is and what a threat it represents to the future of the club.”

If Lewisham Council confirm the compulsory purchase of the land, Millwall are likely to appeal to the High Court.
