Millwall have been promoted to the Championship after beating Bradford in this afternoon's League One Play-Off Final at Wembley.

Neil Harris' men fell at the final hurdle last season and were on the back foot for long periods on Saturday but Steve Morison's late goal ensured history did not repeat itself.

The Lions were relegated from the second tier in 2015 but will now be aiming to solidify their standing in England's football pyramid.

The club has endured a turbulent time off the pitch this term, courtesy of a battle against Lewisham Council over the land surrounding The Den.

Veteran striker Morison stole in at the far post as the tie appeared destined for extra-time to grab an 85th-minute winner and end the Londoners' two-year absence from the Championship.

It was the evergreen Morison's 19th goal of the season and in a stroke expunged the memory of last season's play-off final defeat to Barnsley.

Bradford, beaten by Millwall in the semi-finals last season, had looked the more likely to break the deadlock, but Harris' side were rewarded for another never-say-die performance.
