Mesut Ozil has said he is really satisfied with his performances as the Arsenal star continues his resurgence after recovering from a ligament tear.

The Gunners midfielder suffered the injury in October's defeat to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, but his return in the New Year has coincided with an upturn in results for Arsene Wenger's men.

Ozil has scored twice since the turn of the year and Arsenal have lost just once, winning nine, in 10 Premier League fixtures since a disappointing defeat at St. Mary's on the first day of 2015.

And Ozil is upbeat heading into the business end of the league season.

“I think it’s been very positive [this season],” the Germany international told Arsenal Player.

“Of course picking up my injury was a negative because I missed a lot of games. But if you look at the league and my performances, I’m really satisfied.

“I’d say I’m on the right way. What’s most important is that I perform well consistently. The team support me really well and the manager gives me his trust.

“I’ve missed a lot of football and I think it shows on the pitch that I worked very hard during that time. So now I just want to... help the team and I’m on the right path.
