Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino distanced himself from suggestions he could be on Barcelona’s wish list if coach Luis Enrique leaves at the end of the season.

Enrique’s position has been weakened by Tuesday’s 4-0 thrashing at Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League, which leaves Barcelona staring at elimination at the last-16 stage.

Speaking ahead of Spurs' Europa League last-16 tie against Ghent, Pochettino said: “It is important to be focused on the game tomorrow.

"I can’t say anything about that. I am at Tottenham.

"I am very happy and I have four more years left on my contract. I am enjoying an exciting project.

"It’s true it is not an easy project, but I am very happy here."

Pochettino - who took Spurs on a winter training camp to Barcelona in January - laughed off links with Barca last month by saying that he was "born with a bull in his arm".

The words are a reference to Pochettino's history with Espanyol - Barcelona's city neighbours - where he spent two years as a players before becoming the club's manager.
