Mauricio Pochettino rules out regrowing trademark ponytail: 'Never again!'

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has vowed to never regrow his ponytail.

The 44-year-old is somewhat clean cut these days but things were very different during his playing career.

The former Argentina international sported long hair during spells at Newell's Old Boys, Espanyol, Bordeaux and Espanyol before finally trimming his locks off after retirement.

Pochettino was asked by a fan how much it would cost to see his ponytail make another appearance but remains adamant no amount of money could convince him to grow his hair again.

"No money! Never again the long hair," he told the club's official website.

"It's impossible - now I need to show I'm a serious person.

"At the time I was young, it was another period in my life."

However, despite his reluctance, Pochettino has also admitted he doesn't mind looking back at photographs of his younger days: "I liked, because I was handsome!"
