Martin Allen's quick Barnet double swoop

Martin Allen was only appointed Barnet manager the day before the Football League's deadline for loan deals.

But Allen moved swiftly yesterday to get Chelsea reserve goalkeeper Sam Walker, 19, and MK Dons defender Jude Stirling, 28, for the rest of the season.

Walker is set to start against Chesterfield tomorrow as first‑choice Jake Cole has a knee injury and his deputy, Liam O'Brien, has a fractured finger.

Stirling could also start as Matthew Parsons is suspended after being sent off at Aldershot.
