Monaco midfielder Nabil Dirar has said Radamel Falcao 'must be kicking himself' following a disappointing season at Manchester United.

Falcao has scored just four Premier League goals in 12 starts under Louis van Gaal this season, while his parent club Monaco have reached the last eight of the Champions League.

The 29-year-old is expected to leave United when his season-long loan deal expires at the end of the season and former team-mate Dirar believes the Colombia international will be regretting decisions he made last summer.

Dirar told Le Parisien: "I think Falcao must be kicking himself.

"Here, he would have played and participated in the Champions League, but perhaps he needed more atmosphere. At Monaco, he didn't feel good."

The Ligue 1 club, who didn't compete in EUropean competition while Falcao was at Stade Louis II, travel to Juventus for the quarter-finals of the Champions League on Tuesday evening.
