The January transfer window is well over the halfway stage and the rumour mill is beginning to buzz in anticipation ahead of deadline day.

While clubs are currently presenting calm and composed exteriors in regards to their transfer business the trolley dash will soon begin.

With relegation scraps to be settled and European places up for grabs fans can expect plenty of business to be completed between now and February.

And one rumour doing the rounds this evening is that Manchester United could be ready to table a bid for PSG forward Edinson Cavani, with the Uruguay star claimed to be keen on a move to Old Trafford.

Louis van Gaal's side have endured a tough time scoring the goals this season and indeed their woes in front of the net has seen United fans regularly chant "Attack, attack, attack" during games.

And the club now believe Cavani could change that should he make the move to the Premier League this month.
