Ralf Rangnick is still unbeaten in charge of Manchester United manager but the interim manager has said he is not happy with the progress they have made since he was appointment a month ago.

After two narrow wins against Crystal Palace and Norwich City and two disappointing draws against Young Boys and Newcastle United, it is easy to see why Rangnick wants improvements against Burnley.

After being held to a draw by Newcastle in their first game back after a Covid-enforced break, United can ill afford another slip-up.

United lost ground in the race for the top four as they drew 1-1 at St James Park with a poor display that prompted Gary Neville to call them “a bunch of whinge-bags”.

That result leaves them seven points behind fourth-placed Arsenal and, while they do have games in hand, Rangnick knows they need to get back on track at Old Trafford.

Burnley’s last three matches have been postponed due to Covid, meaning they have not played since December 12.

Date, kick-off time and venue

Manchester United vs Burnley is scheduled for a 8:15pm GMT kick-off on Thursday, December 30 2021.

The game will be played at Old Trafford.
