Standard Sport assesses the individual performances from Old Trafford where a 94th minute equaliser from Robin van Persie rescued a point for Manchester United against Chelsea in a 1-1 draw after Didier Drogba had put the visitors ahead.

Following an even first half, the Ivorian striker scored his first Premier League goal since returning to West London this summer when he nodded home Cesc Fabregas’s corner at the near post with 53 minutes gone.

It looked as if that goal would be enough for the Blues, but they fell to a Van Persie sucker punch in stoppage time.

After Branislav Ivanovic was sent off for a second booking for fouling Angel di Maria, the Argentine playmaker whipped in a free-kick that was headed goalwards by Marouane Fellaini. Thibaut Courtois made the save but the ball fell to Van Persie to smash home from about 10 yards and salvage a point for Louis van Gaal’s side.
