Manchester United target Sergio Ramos will not be allowed to leave the Bernabeu this summer, according to the player's international team-mate Andres Iniesta.

Ramos is reportedly ready to force through a move to Old Trafford regardless of how much money Real are willing to offer him to remain in the Spanish capital.

United have already seen a bid of around £30million for the centre-back rejected by Los Blancos, who want David de Gea.

Negotiations are expected to move towards a deal which would see both De Gea and Ramos swap clubs but a stalemate has been reached with both parties sticking firm to their valuations.

However, following Ramos's revelation that he is not in talks with any clubs, his Spanish team-mate and Barcelona midfielder Iniesta doesn't think Real Madrid would let the defender leave after 10 years at the Bernabeu.

"He is one of the best defenders in the world," Iniesta said.

"I doubt that Real Madrid will let him go."
