Paul Pogba has sent Manchester United fans into wild speculation about a new contract after posting a cryptic tweet.

The midfielder last summer made no secret of his desire for a new challenge but, 12 months on, opinions have changed.

Standard Sport understands United are growing confident that Pogba is happy at Old Trafford, with the player rejuvenated under Ole Gunner Solskjaer after an injury-ravaged season.

Pogba's agent Mino Raiola publicly criticised both Solskjaer and United in February, with all roads pointing towards the player leaving, but relations between all parties have improved.

The World Cup winner's current contract expires in two years time, is he ready to extend?

Pogba on Tuesday tweeted "TOMORROW" with a pair of eyes emoji.

One United fan quickly replied with "#POGTRACT", while another replied with a GIF of a contract signing.

Some referenced Atletico Madrid's Saul Niguez who earlier this season posted that he was to announce a "new club" in the coming days, only for it to be an academy project.

Significant contract news, personal brand updates or something else? We will have to wait and see.
