Back in training: Falcao has scored just one goal for United since joining from Monaco

Manchester United striker Radamel Falcao has recovered from a calf injury and returned to training with the rest of the squad.

The Colombia international was expecting to return for Saturday's trip to Arsenal, but Louis van Gaal revealed last week his forward had sustained a 'new injury'.

Falcao has not featured for five weeks but his absence was not felt as United recorded their first away victory under Louis van Gaal at Emirates Stadium.

Luke Shaw played just 15 minutes before he limped out with a new injury setback, joining Falcao and six other squad members who are all unavailable for selection.

Shaw and Daley Blind look set for extended spells on the sidelines, though Marcos Rojo, Rafael, Phil Jones, Jonny Evans, Jesse Lingard and Falcao are expected to return next month.

Falcao is in line to feature during United's trip to Southampton in early December, after the striker wrote on Twitter: "Back to training 100 per cent and ready to help the team in the next games.”
