Jose Mourinho insists Manchester United will be a match for anybody in the Champions League draw, even if he intends to shut up' the competition until February.
Mourinho praised United's attitude after his side came from behind to beat CSKA Moscow 2-1 to top Group A on Tuesday night.
Not even Alan Dzagoev's controversial opener had the Old Trafford faithful concerned as only a record seven-goal defeat would deny United a place in the last 16.
And quick-fire goals from Romelu Lukaku and Marcus Rashford after the break turned the contest around as United triumphed.
United will learn their fate in the knockout stage draw to be held on Monday morning, with the Red Devils set to face either Bayern Munich, Juventus, Sevilla, Shakhtar Donetsk, Porto or holders Real Madrid as the groups currently stand.
Mourinho said after Tuesday's win that while United will be feared by the rest of Europe's elite, he cannot afford to waste any more energy on the competition with the Manchester derby coming up on Sunday.
"I am not the luckiest guy with draws, it is better I shut up and I forget it because we only play in February," he told BT Sport.
"Until then I have to concentrate on the English competitions, I think it doesn't matter the team we get in the draw.
"That team will not be jumping with happiness to play against us. I don't think so."
United made hard work of a match they dominated for long stretches, though the Portuguese coach was still happy with the application of his side - and the nature of their fightback in particular.
"We confirmed the way we wanted to confirm, which was to play well and have a good result," Mourinho added.
"Half-time we were losing but playing well, I was not unhappy with the players at all. In the second half we had that strong reaction, we didn't want to lose the match.
"The boys have played professionally and qualified the way we wanted to qualify.
"The team in the second half, they showed the desire of not qualifying with a defeat, we could lose four or five nil and qualify but that was not the objective - the objective was to play well and win and we managed both."
