Man United XI vs Arsenal: Starting lineup, confirmed team news and injury latest for Premier League game today

Jonathan Gorrie2 December 2021

Manchester United take on Arsenal tonight with Michael Carrick still in charge of the team, and Cristiano Ronaldo returns to the starting line-up.

Ralf Rangnick will be watching on from the stands, with his work visa not arriving in time to allow him to be in the dugout.

Given Rangnick is widely credited with bringing modern pressing into German football before Jurgen Klopp and Thomas Tuchel raised the game, Ronaldo does not exactly look like a natural fit, but he starts for United.

Harry Maguire, meanwhile, is back from suspension, but Luke Shaw misses out. Paul Pogba, Raphael Varane and Edinson Cavani remain sidelined.

Starting XI: De Gea, Dalot, Lindelof, Maguire, Telles, Fred, McTominay, Fernandes, Sancho, Ronaldo, Rashford

Subs: Henderson, Jones, Bailly, Mata, Van de Beek, Lingard, Amad, Martial, Greenwood
