Lucas Perez is not looking to leave Arsenal in the summer, despite being unhappy with limited first-team opportunities under Arsene Wenger, according to the striker's agent.

Lucas joined the Gunners from Deportivo La Coruna last summer but has struggled to secure regular game time at Emirates Stadium.

Quotes attributed to Agent Rodrigo Fernandez Lovelle suggesting Lucas wanted to secure a move away from north London were widely shared online today but the Spaniard's representative has refuted such claims.

"Like any professional, he wants to play," Lovelle told Press Association Sport.

"When one does not play he is not happy but we knew it would be difficult and it is a long contract.

"Lucas has this contract with Arsenal and he wants to succeed there. No-one has spoken of a move."

Perez has struggled with a hamstring in recent weeks but could be handed a rare starting berth in tonight's FA Cup fifth-round clash against Sutton United.

Wenger has hinted he will name a strong side at Gander Green Lane but star men Sanchez and Mesut Ozil are still expected to be rested against the non-league outfit as Arsenal look to bounce back from their chastening 5-1 defeat to Bayern Munich.
