PSG beat Liverpool's rising stars in Uefa Youth League thriller

Tonight's huge Champions League clash between PSG and Liverpool could be a classic if today's Uefa Youth League match between the two sides is anything to go by.

Liverpool's U19 side were narrowly beaten in a 3-2 thriller in Paris earlier on Wednesday before the seniors sides meet at Parc des Princes.

PSG's win means the sides are now level on 10 points in Group C, with Arnaud Muinga's brace for the French side proving too much for the Reds to handle.

Liverpool had gone ahead through promising youngster Liam Millar, but Ruben Providence equalised soon after before a Muinga double put PSG in control.

Millar scored his second of the game late on, but it was not enough to prevent the visitors from slipping to a defeat.

The senior sides meet in Paris later on tonight with Group C hanging in the balance.

Group C

Pos Team P W D L GD Pts
1 Napoli 4 1 3 0 1 6
2 Liverpool 4 2 0 2 2 6
3 PSG 4 1 2 1 4 5
4 Red Star 4 1 1 2 -7 4

Liverpool - who beat PSG earlier this season at Anfield - will qualify if they win in Paris. If they draw, the Merseyside team would need to equal or better PSG's result in the final game to secure a spot in the last 16.

If they lose in Paris, Liverpool can still go through if they beat Napoli by more than two goals in the final group stage fixture.
