Liverpool have confirmed that Harry Wilson’s loan stint with Bournemouth has been extended until the end of the Premier League campaign.

The 23-year-old, who joined the Cherries on a season-long deal in August, has scored seven goals in 23 league appearances this term.

His stay on the south coast was originally scheduled to end in mid-May, when the English top flight would originally have finished prior to the coronavirus pandemic.

However, with the 2019-20 campaign extended, Liverpool have struck a deal for Wilson to remain with Eddie Howe’s side until its completion.

They have yet to do the same, though, for Rhian Brewster, who is currently on loan at Championship outfit Swansea City.

The Reds have indicated that they are happy for the 20-year-old to remain in Wales, where he has scored four times in 11 outings since January.

However, Steve Cooper’s side have still to confirm that they will keep hold of the forward for their remaining games.
