Liverpool went into the international break desperately needing some of their players to hit some form after the disappointing 2-1 defeat to Manchester United at Anfield.

Out of those players called up from Brendan Rodgers's side, Daniel Sturridge, Adam Lallana and Dejan Lovren were ruled out from playing due to injuries, while Simon Mignolet wasn't deemed to have done enough to be preferred in goal ahead of Thibaut Courtois for Belgium.

Raheem Sterling produced an impressive display for England at Wembley when he scored and assisted Harry Kane in the 4-0 win over Lithuania but withdrew from the squad before the Italy game.

Joe Allen continued his impressive club form in Wales's 3-0 win over Israel, while Philippe Coutinho was one of Brazil's more influential players in the 1-0 win over Chile at the Emirates.

Standard Sport assesses how each of Liverpool's players did while playing for their country in the final international break of the season. Find out how each player rated by scrolling through our gallery below.
