Liverpool vs Tottenham team news: Adam Lallana, Dejan Lovren and Ragnar Klavan in fitness race

Liverpool trio Adam Lallana, Dejan Lovren and Ragnar Klavan face a race against time to be fit for Saturday’s visit of Tottenham to Anfield.

Lallana missed training this week with an Achilles problem whilst centre-back Lovren has suffered with a slight knee injury.

Reds manager Jurgen Klopp confirmed that both would require further assessment before a decision was made on their involvement in the crucial clash between two sides battling for top four spots.

Klopp told reporters he was “not 100 per cent sure whether Lovren can train today.

“Lallana was out for 2 days with little problem with Achilles. We hope he'll train.”

Defender Klavan’s participation is also in doubt after he suffered a bacterial infection. Were both the Estonian and Lovren to miss out then Joe Gomez or Lucas Leiva could be asked to partner Joel Matip in defence.

Tottenham are not without their share of injury concerns, with Danny Rose, Jan Vertonghen and Erik Lamela all unavailable to Mauricio Pochettino.
