Liverpool vs Everton: Prediction, kick off time, TV, live stream, team news, h2h results - preview today

Matt Verri24 April 2022

Liverpool’s quadruple challenge continues this afternoon as they take on Everton in a huge Merseyside derby.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have a Champions League clash against Villarreal to come in midweek but for now their focus will be on the Premier League, as they look to make up the one-point deficit to Manchester City.

The Reds have every reason to be confident too, having swatted aside Manchester United in their last match. Liverpool’s defeat to Inter Milan last month, when they came through the tie on aggregate anyway, is the only match they have lost in their 25 games.

Everton, meanwhile, are in desperate need of points as they sit just one point clear of the relegation zone. Frank Lampard has said in the build-up to this one that he would be very happy with a point.

The Toffees won on their last visit to Anfield though, in Febuary last year, which brought to an end a run of 22 years without victory at their rival’s ground.

Here’s all you need to know about Sunday’s match...

Liverpool vs Everton prediction

Few, if any, teams in the world right now look capable of slowing down Liverpool’s momentum.

The Reds were at their imperious best against Man United and while Everton will look to frustrate their big rivals, it’s very difficult to see them keeping Klopp’s side quiet for very long.

Liverpool to win, 3-0.
