Liverpool will face Flamengo in the Fifa Club World Cup final on Saturday.

The Reds beat Monterrey 2-1 in their semi-final opener on Wednesday to reach the final for the second time.

Roberto Firmino flicked in Trent Alexander-Arnold's cross at the near post to set up a meeting with the South American champions at the Khalifa Stadium.

Naby Keita had put Liverpool ahead in the 11th minute but the Mexican outfit hit back minutes later through Rogelio Funes Mori

Jurgen Klopp's side will have the chance to become world champions for the first time, with Liverpool's only previous appearance in the showpiece event ending in a 1-0 defeat to Sao Paulo back in 2005.

They will once again come up against Brazilian opposition after Flamengo overcame Asian champions Al-Hilal on Tuesday.

The Copa Libertadores winners, who also won the Brasileirao this season, are chasing their first-ever treble after overcoming the Saudi Arabian side.

The final will take place at the Khalifa International Stadium with an expected crowd of 48,000 spectators in Doha.
