Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says he is unlikely to sign unvaccinated players, calling them a “constant threat for us all”.

The Reds boss has been vocal in urging people to get the jab as cases continue to surge across the Premier League.

Liverpool’s clash with Tottenham on Sunday afternoon is scheduled to goal ahead as planned, with their opponents back in action for the first time since early December after having three games called off due to an outbreak.

Six of this weekend’s top-flight fixtures have been postponed and Klopp believes that, with the transfer window set to open in less than a fortnight, clubs’ decisions in the market will be impacted by players’ vaccination status.

“I think it (being vaccinated) will be influential, definitely, in who clubs sign,” Klopp said.

“If a player is not vaccinated at all, he is a constant threat for all of us.

“He doesn’t want to be a threat, it’s not that he thinks ‘I don’t care about the others’ but he is.”
