Liverpool fans are speculating over Nabil Fekir's collapsed summer move after his unveiling video was "leaked" online.

The Lyon forward was on the brink of a move to Anfield before the plug was pulled on a deal before the World Cup. The deal had progressed as far as a video interview with the player.

Though not common to conduct an interview before a medical has taken place, Standard Sport understands the decision made approved by club, player and agent to speed up the deal.

As our Liverpool correspondent, David Lynch, reported in August : "After a deal was struck with Lyon and personal terms agreed, Fekir was photographed wearing what should have been his new colours and conducted an interview with the club's in-house television channel, LFCTV, with a time to announce his arrival provisionally set.

"However, the move collapsed at the 11th hour following issues arising from a medical examination, and there have been no attempts from Liverpool to strike a restructured deal since – nor will there be - despite strong speculation to the contrary."

Standard Sport understands a future deal for Fekir is not of interest to Jurgen Klopp and the club will not return to resurrect a transfer.

However, Liverpool fans continue to speculate on the existence of the video. Or, more precisely, why the video still exists as a private YouTube video.

On a playlist on Liverpool's official YouTube channel called 'Summer Signings 18-19' amongst every first-team arrival's unveiling video there is a '[Private Video]', which fans are assuming is Fekir's.

While the true video on Liverpool's YouTube channel has not been identified, screenshots have been debunked as a fan-made Photoshop on Twitter.

The screenshot with subtitles circulating on Twitter is fake, with the image of Fekir an edited version of him speaking during a press conference while on international duty with France.

So, Liverpool fans, that's that.
