Lippi on everybody's lips as Flavio reappears at QPR

It is no surprise that whispers of Neil Warnock being in danger of losing his job at QPR have coincided with the reappearance in the directors' box of former owner and chairman, Flavio Briatore.

Suddenly the name of Italy's World Cup-winning manager Marcello Lippi is being mentioned again, months after Briatore was quoted as saying he'd like his compatriot in charge.

If there were any plan to usurp Warnock - with Rangers on the brink of a Premier League return for the first time since 1996 - the lunatics really will have taken over the asylum.
