Leicester value Deeney at £30m as Conte plots move for Bonucci and Candreva - Tuesday's transfer gossip

Should the economic superpower that is the Premier League ever come crashing down perhaps it will be that the £30million price tag of Watford captain Troy Deeney is seen as the first harbinger of doom.

Reports today claim that Leicester have told the Hornets they are willing to pay the same figure that Bayern Munich coughed up for Arturo Vidal last summer for a player with 13 Premier League goals to his name.

Will the Watford captain be tempted to the East Midlands where he can form a formidable all-English striking partnership with Jamie Vardy? Well he spoke of them in rather glowing terms last month. But then who didn’t?

With all that money sloshing around the Premier League Antonio Conte may be about to snap up something of a bargain if reports in the Sun are to be believed. They claim he is set for a £57m swoop for two of the best-performing Italians at Euro 2016, Antonio Candreva and Leonardo Bonucci.
