LA Galaxy have confirmed the signing of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, after the striker left Manchester United having spent nearly two seasons at Old Trafford.

The former Sweden international reunited with Jose Mourinho in Manchester in the summer of 2016, after leaving Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer.

The 36-year-old went on to score 28 goals in all competitions, as the Red Devils won the Europa League and EFL Cup in Mourinho’s maiden season.

The ex-Barcelona and Inter Milan forward delivered crucial goals throughout the campaign, most notably with his Wembley brace against Southampton.

However, his season came to a halt in Europe, picking up a serious knee injury against Anderlecht, which would eventually bring his time at Manchester United to an end, with summer signing Romelu Lukaku, and further injury problems, keeping him out of the side.

His contract at Old Trafford was terminated by mutual consent on Thursday.
