Kenny Jackett can show he's right man

Promotion push: Kenny Jackett
11 April 2012

When Kenny Jackett took charge of Millwall in 2007 it was after Yeovil had rejected approaches from the Lions for their boss Russell Slade.

Now Jackett will be out to prove that fate dealt Millwall the right hand as he needs victory over the visiting Slade and his Leyton Orient side tomorrow to maintain their push for second place.

Orient need the points to make sure of staying up - they are only four clear of the drop zone - and Jackett is expecting a tight affair.

The manager said: "Russell knows League One very well from his time with Yeovil and Brighton. I read Orient need one or two wins to be safe. We want the points for different reasons in a London derby that is usually very good."

Millwall were flying towards the automatic promotion place until a slight hiccup of late when they have dropped seven points in their last five games.

"Now we have to concentrate on what we do well, gather all our energy and go again," said Jackett.
