Kazaiah Sterling has vowed to "kick on" next season after making his first senior appearance for Tottenham.
The 18-year-old has long been regarded as one of the most promising prospects in Spurs' youth academy, having thrived as part of the Premier League club's Under-18s side.
Sterling was one of several youngsters included in Mauricio Pochettino's squad for the post-season trip to Hong Kong and impressed in Friday's comfortable 4-1 victory over Kitchee SC.
The striker marked his debut with a late goal and has set his sights on more game after getting a taste of first-team action in front of 28,000 fans.
“I’m delighted to play my first game with the first team and to score as well," he told Tottenham's official website.
"It was a great experience to play in front of a crowd that big. It was a special moment for me. It’s a good landmark for me to try to kick on now.
"I’ve had a taste and I’m just going to work as hard as I can again next season.”
Spurs made the trip to capitalise on their growing popularity in the Far East and encountered huge numbers of fans during their visit.
Sterling was taken aback at the levels of support he and his teammates received, which meant the youngster had to devise a new signature to meet demand.
Sterling added: "I didn’t realise there was such a big Tottenham fanbase out here. Overall, I really enjoyed the trip. I’ve never signed so many autographs.
"Before this tour, I didn’t really have an autograph. I didn’t realise how popular we were out here, especially players like Harry Kane and Dele Alli."
