Harry Kane is expected to start for Tottenham in Sunday’s friendly against Shakhtar Donetsk.

The England captain has been the subject of a number of bids from Bayern Munich this summer now he has entered the last year of his contract.

Bayern were understood to have submitted a final offer for the 30-year-old on Friday, reportedly worth €100million (£86.2m) plus add-ons.

The German giants are believed to have demanded an answer from Spurs chairman Daniel Levy, who has so far rebuffed their attempts to sign Kane.

Despite the speculation, Kane is believed to be open to staying at the club if a deal can not be agreed before Spurs begin their Premier League campaign against Brentford next week.

Should he stay, Tottenham’s all-time leading goalscorer has also not ruled out extending his contract if the team show significant on-field progress under Ange Postecoglou this season.

Spurs will play against the Ukrainian side in Postecoglou’s first home game in charge before traveling to Barcelona for their final pre-season outing on Tuesday.
