Ajax star Justin Kluivert insists he has received no contact from Manchester United amid speculation linking him with a move.

Kluivert, son of Ajax and Barcelona great Patrick, has followed in his favours footsteps by establishing himself as a key player at the Dutch giants at a young age and at 18-years-old already has 43 senior appearances to his name.

The youngster was integral in Ajax’s run to the Europa League final last season, where they lost to United, since when Kluivert has been regularly linked with a move to Manchester.

“There will always be rumours, but not all is true,” Kluivert told Voetabl Inside. “I know as little as you guys do.”

Kluivert was part of the side that lost 2-0 to United in Stockholm, after which he was pictured in discussion with Red Devils’ boss Jose Mourinho.

As to whether that conversation saw Mourinho express an interest in signing Kluivert, the Dutch youth international insists that that was not the case.

“I get that question a lot of course, but he did not say anything like that in the last match against United,” the Ajax forward said.

“There are always rumours,” Kluivert added. “We all know that. Manchester has never come into the picture and it also is not a logical move.”
