Jurgen Klopp is capable of improving 'every' player that he works with, according to Borussia Dortmund chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke.

The 48-year-old has been installed as the favourite to succeed Brendan Rodgers at Anfield after the Northern Irishman was sacked on Sunday afternoon.

The German is reported to have entered talks with Liverpool's hierarchy and could be appointed in time for the Merseyside club's trip to face Liverpool at White Hart Lane next weekend.

An array of figures within the game have delivered glowing assessments of Klopp's managerial ability and Watzke, who worked alongside Klopp at Dortmund, is adamant that his former colleague has much to offer.

"He is a very good coach because he has a good mentality for it," he told Sky Sports.

"Every player he has in his hands, he makes them better, you can be sure.

"It is wonderful to work with him because he has a big understanding of the problems of the club.

"He has a good style of playing football and I don't know if he will go to Liverpool or to another club, but the club who gets him gets a very good manager."

Watzke also believes that Klopp could take charge of any club in world football and hinted that the similarities between Dortmund ad Liverpool could help him to be a success in front of the Kop.

"He can do every job, he can make every club (better) and Liverpool is very similar to Borussia Dortmund, it has the same structure and the same fans. It is a marvellous club.
