Juan Cuadrado has criticised Chelsea for not giving him the chance to make his mark on the team during his failed stint at the club, but admits he feels happy with his current side Juventus.

Chelsea signed Cuadrado from Fiorentina in February 2015 just months after the winger put in an impressive showing for his nation Colombia at the World Cup in Brazil.

Despite arriving with high hopes on his head, the 27-year-old made just four Premier League starts for the Blues under former manager Jose Mourinho before departing and sealing a season-long loan move to Juventus later that year.

The forward has gone on to cement his spot in the Serie A side and, after setting up Paulo Dybala's superb match-winner in Juventus' 1-0 victory over Sassuolo on Friday, Cuadrado said he believes he was never given the chance to show off his abilities at Stamford Bridge.

"When I got there, the squad was already really tight and solid," he said.

"I don't think I was given enough opportunity to show what I can do, but that's football. I'm happy to be back being a protagonist with Juventus."

He added: "I'm happy to have come back to Italy.

"Here, I'm happy, in Serie A I feel like my game is excelling and I really feel at ease. My future is not up to me, we'll see in the summer."
