Fulham are making a late move for Bournemouth striker Josh King on deadline day.

The Norwegian striker has been looking to force a transfer away from the south coast since last January, when a switch to former club Manchester United fell through.

King has scarcely featured for Jason Tindall's Championship side this month and has been looked at by a number of Premier League sides, including Everton and West Ham.

The Cherries had wanted a fee of around £14million for the forward - who is out of contract at the end of this season - during the last window, but their asking price has dropped significantly with all parties happy to see King leave before Monday’s 11pm GMT deadline.

Scott Parker had accepted that Fulham were unlikely to sign a striker on their tight budget this window but owner Shahid Khan appears to have loosened the purse strings in order to aid their relegation fight.

West Ham never really considered King as an option this month after seeing a bid rejected in the summer and were put off by the player’s significant wage demands.
