Carlo Ancelotti has told Chelsea fans that Jose Mourinho is still 'the right man' to turn the Blues' fortunes around this season.
The Portuguese led the west London club to their fourth Premier League title last term but has overseen a disastrous start to the current campaign.
Defeat to West Ham on Saturday has left Chelsea languishing in 15th place - 11 points adrift of pacesetters Manchester City - with just three wins in their opening 10 games.
Mourinho has not had to endure such a poor run of results during his career but the Italian manager, who won the double with Chelsea in 2010, is adamant the 52-year-old can guide the club back to the top.
"I did not expect this crisis, but I understand the reasons for these problems I think they are feeling satiated.
"Last year they won by a huge margin, and now they are more relaxed. Don't worry, Mourinho will put everything back in order, he is the right man."
Ancelotti, who has been out of work since he was sacked by Real Madrid at the end of last season, also tipped Arsenal and Manchester City as the teams to watch in the title race.
"Manchester City are the most complete team in the Premier League, but occasionally they switch off. They are not 100 percent reliable.

"I'd watch out for Arsenal. Arsene Wenger did well to change their system, so he waits and counters to get the best out of the pace of Theo Walcott and Alexis Sanchez."
