He admitted his final season in charge of his beloved club Chelsea was a "disaster" so it's understandable why Jose Mourinho is happy to be remaining in England and managing Manchester United.

The Portuguese former Blues boss was unveiled as the Red Devils' new coach on Tuesday and alluded to the difficulties he faced in the months leading up to his sacking from Chelsea in December.

"I was in trouble for the last five months [at Chelsea]," he said on Tuesday. "The first month was fine, the second month was not so good and after the second month it was a disaster."

And although he admitted during his first press conference as United's new manager that he still respects Chelsea and continues to share a strong bond with Blues supporters, the 53-year-old may have riled up some fans with his statement he is now the manager of the "biggest club" in the UK.
