Jordan Cousins and Massimo Luongo will both miss QPR’s Championship trip to Derby.

Cousins jarred his knee during Saturday’s 2-1 home defeat by Aston Villa, while Luongo was taken ill and went off at half-time.

Michael Petrasso, Paul Smyth and Ilias Chair have travelled with the squad as Rangers eye their first away win of the season.

Manager Ian Holloway said: “Jordan is out but it’s a precaution and we hope he’ll be okay for Brentford next Monday. Massimo is ill and hasn’t travelled, which is a shame.

“It’s an opportunity for those coming into the squad to impress and, knowing those boys as I do, I know they’ll be looking to lay down a marker.”

QPR have just four points from eight away games.

Holloway added: “The whole mindset away from home has to change. Derby have some great players, so it’s a big ask, but we’re in good spirits.”
