John Terry insists he wouldn't swap Chelsea's squad with any other in the country as the club aim to bounce back from a woeful start to the campaign.

Chelsea showed some marked improvement in securing a 0-0 draw in Dynamo Kiev last night, which has given their chances of reaching the Champions League knock-out stage a much needed lift.

The Blues still face a huge task to defend their Premier League title after losing four of their first nine matches, which has left them in a lowly 12th place in the table.

But Terry is confident they have the talent to turn the season around and has given under pressure coach Jose Mourinho his full backing once again.

He said: "When the chips are down, I'd take this squad over any other. I know the players very well, I have been in this situation before, I have seen it happen.

"We have a great squad of players and more importantly we still have the best manager in the world. Everyone is fully behind him and everyone is together.

Player Ratings: Dynamo Kiev vs Chelsea

"The fans were unbelievable at the weekend (when they beat Aston Villa 2-0) and I thank them. They're going to be pivotal in our comeback and our climb up the table. I urge them to continue believing in the players because I certainly do.

"I think the win at the weekend did a lot for our confidence - it certainly felt unbelievable in the dressing room afterwards.

"It had been a few weeks (since our last victory), so when they come about it's nice. We want that feeling week after week again, to put ourselves on a run of games and that's what we're trying to do."

While the draw in Ukraine means they still trail Dynamo by a point and are three behind Group G leaders Porto, Chelsea are now strong favourites to reach the last 16.

They have home matches against both sides to come, with Dynamo visiting Stamford Bridge in a fortnight, plus a trip to strugglers Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Terry added: "I am disappointed we didn't come away with three points, but on the positive side of it, we kept another clean sheet, got a point and qualification is in our hands now going back to Stamford Bridge.

"There are two home games now and they are must-win. These nights at the Bridge is what we want and what we look forward to.

"We have had difficult places to go in Kiev and Porto (they lost 2-1) as well, where we were unlucky not to come away with a point.

"It's going to be tough, the next game at home is a must-win for us. Hopefully we will get a win and build upon that and qualify from the group."
