Chelsea's highly-rated academy graduate Jeremie Boga admits Antonio Conte has already helped him improve the tactical side of his game.

Boga spent last season on loan at Spanish club Granada, who were eventually relegated from the top-flight, before he returned to Chelsea and departed for the club's tour of the Far East.

There the forward has impressed - with Pedro's unfortunate head injury against Arsenal paving the way for Conte to bring on Boga in Beijing.

After putting in a positive performance against the Gunners, Boga was then handed a start in Chelsea's next pre-season friendly against Bayern Munich in Singapore on Tuesday.

He played 63 minutes before being brought off, but the 20-year-old is still happy with his game time this summer - admitting that Conte has played a big role already in his development.

"It is different, I feel more mature in my game and I am better within the team," Boga told Chelsea's official website.

"I am more strong physically and I am better tactically as well, so I think I have grown a lot and I am very happy to be on pre-season with Chelsea.

"Even though last year was a difficult year for the team, I think I have learned a lot, especially because we had to defend and also technically I got better.

"Now in just the few weeks I have been on pre-season with Antonio Conte, I have been learning a lot tactically and he is good for me.

"He gives instructions for the strikers, for the way we play and the way we defend also. It is very tactical and I think it is what I am missing in my game. I am really focused because I need to learn more tactically."

When then asked about Pedro's injury, which resulted in him coming on in the 3-0 win over Arsenal, he added: "Obviously I would not wish an injury like Pedro’s on any player but I have been getting a lot of minutes, more than I expected so I am very happy with that and I try to make the best out of all the minutes I get."
