Jamie Mackie, the QPR striker, believes that Manchester City’s inexperience of being in a title-winning situation puts the pressure firmly on Roberto Mancini’s side ahead of Sunday’s decisive Premier League clash.

QPR travel to the Etihad knowing that a point should secure survival, while it could deny City their first title since 1968.

Mackie feels that with the onus on City to win, his side could take advantage of their underdog status and provide one of the season’s biggest upsets.

“Not many of their players would have won the Premier League before - pressure does really strange things to people,” said the 26-year-old.

“We feel we can go there and spoil the party. People have already written us off and think City are going to have a massive day but we’re focused on trying to get something out of the game.”
