James McArthur is not concerned by reports linking him with a move to Arsenal and insisted he is happy at Crystal Palace.

Arsene Wenger’s midfield options have been drastically limited by a string of long-term injuries in recent weeks. Arsenal are likely to be without first-choice central midfield duo Francis Coquelin and Santi Cazorla until early March at the earliest and are scouting for reinforcements.

McArthur, who last month was linked with a move to the Emirates, has started all bar one of Palace’s Premier League games – with 16 games of the season played Palace are sixth and just three points off the Champions League places.

The reports prompted Alan Pardew to last week say he was “not surprised” to see his player linked with a top four side, but McArthur is more interested on guiding Palace to Europe.

“It's nice of the manager to say - but I'm not going to listen to the rumours," he told the Croydon Advertiser.

“I am just going to go about my job at Crystal Palace, because I am really enjoying my football.”
