Jack Wilshere and Mathieu Flamini play down training ground 'bust-up' with joke tweet

Jack Wilshere has played down his training ground bust-up with Arsenal team-mate Mathieu Flamini by posting a sarcastic photo on Twitter of the Frenchman landing a punch on his central midfield partner.

Photos emerged from Arsenal’s training ground on Friday of Flamini and Wilshere having a heated discussion, only 24 hours ahead of their Premier League clash with Sunderland.

Bacary Sagna had to step in to diffuse the tension between his teammates but the pair appeared to have made up by the evening.

Wilshere tweeted: “Flam was not happy when I walked on the bus tonight! Sorry mate I promise never to disagree with you again!! #Angry”.

The tweet was accompanied by a photo of Flamini landing a right hook to Wilshere’s jaw, but the sarcasm of the shot was evident in the smiles on both players’ faces.

Arsenal will be hoping the feisty midfield duo can help get them back on track against Sunderland this afternoon following a disappointing 2-0 loss to Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Wednesday.
