Harry Kane urges calm as England look to emulate 1966 World Cup winners

Harry Kane is urged calm among the England squad after reaching the World Cup semi-finals.

The country has been gripped by events in Russia, with Prince William, an avid football fan and President of the FA, even tweeting after Saturday's 2-0 win over Sweden that that "football’s coming home."

But captain Kane want to keep his and his team-mates' feet on the ground as they look to emulate the victorious team of 1966.

"We know there is still a big game ahead with the semi-final, but we are feeling good and confident," the Tottenham forward said on BBC One.

"We just have to go again, keep doing what we are doing and make the country proud."

Kane added: "So much preparation went into it and I thought we were fantastic today. It was a difficult game, Sweden made it tough - long balls, different to what we have faced so far.

"We were brilliant at set-pieces, crosses into the box and we are buzzing."
