Ian Holloway hit back at Brighton fans who mocked him from the stands as QPR fell to a sixth straight defeat at the Amex Stadium on Tuesday.

Holloway was appointed Jimmy Floyd-Hasselbaink's successor at Loftus Road in November and despite winning his first game in charge has failed spark an upturn in results.

A fine early goal from Sam Baldock put the Seagulls on their way to a fourth successive win before a Glenn Murray penalty and an Anthony Knockaert strike extended Albion's unbeaten run to 17 games.

And Holloway, who steered Brighton's rivals Crystal Palace to Wembley with victory in the play-off semi-final at the Amex Stadium in 2013, claims he heard home fans chanting that he'd be 'sacked in the morning' after yet another Hoops defeat.

The QPR boss told BBC Five Live: "People think I'm going to get sacked in the morning, well that's nice isn't it? Why don't you sing something better and something different?lls.

"I didn't mean to beat you in the play-offs. It wasn't my fault was it? Why don't you show me some respect?"
