Mauricio Pochettino has dismissed talk that Hugo Lloris will look to leave Tottenham this summer, insisting that the goalkeeper is ‘happy’ at the club.

The France captain and No.1 has been linked with moves to Manchester United and Real Madrid, as the Premier League and La Liga giants fight out a tug-of-war over goalkeeper David de Gea.

Reports on Sunday claimed that Lloris has told Tottenham officials of his desire to play in the Champions League, following another season in which Spurs failed to qualify for Europe’s premier competition with a top four finish.

As things stand, Lloris will feature in the Europa League with Spurs, but manager Pochettino insists that his star ‘happy’ at the club.

“There have been a lot of rumours, but Hugo wants to stay with us and we are happy with him too,” Pochettino told reporters.
