Hugo Lloris has urged his Tottenham teammates to start improving their form and securing wins after labelling the club's start to the Premier League as "very bad".

Spurs have not yet won a top-flight game this term after opening up the 2015/16 campaign with a 1-0 loss at Manchester United and then drawing their next three games against Stoke, Leicester and Everton - which has left the club in 16th place in the table.

Tottenham's draws against Stoke and Leicester came about after the club surrendered leads in the matches, which Lloris has since said the club must learn from going forwards starting with Sunderland this weekend.

"The last month was very bad for us," Lloris told the Mail.

"We need to improve quickly, gain confidence and rise up the table.

"It is not easy to start the season at Manchester United. We were unlucky to lose but we deserved what we got against Stoke because we were 2-0 up and drew 2-2. Then we were 1-0 up at Leicester and drew 1-1.

"You have to hold onto leads better. We lost those four points.

"We have a good squad, a good mentality and a good philosophy.

"We now need to keep going."

Five debuts to watch out for this weekend
