Hugo Lloris slips up to hand Thibaut Courtois advantage in Premier League Golden Glove standings

Hugo Lloris' Golden Glove hopes suffered as a blow as the Tottenham goalkeeper conceded in his side's 6-1 victory over Leicester.

Spurs ran out comfortable winners at the King Power Stadium, with Harry Kane scoring four goals to take control of the Golden Boot race.

But a rash moment cost Lloris an opportunity to add to his clean sheet tally as the Frenchman rushed off his line in an attempt to thwart Foxes striker Jamie Vardy.

Lloris won the ball only for it to break kindly to Ben Chilwell, who slotted home into an unguarded net.

Lloris has recorded 15 clean sheets this season but remains one adrift of pacesetter Thibaut Courtois, who has been instrumental in Chelsea's title triumph.

The Belgian was rested by Antonio Conte for the Blues' win over Watford but is in line to return to the side for the final game of the season against already relegated Sunderland.

Courtois could record a final tally of 17 if he keeps a clean sheet versus the Black Cats while Lloris, who faces Hull on Sunday, is only able to match his rival's current total.

The pair will share the accolade if they finish level but Courtois is in the driving seat as the finish line approaches.

Meanwhile, Manchester United's David De Gea occupies third place in the pecking order but will not play again this season with Jose Mourinho set to favour Sergio Romero ahead of the Europa League final.
